recorder Report

ISLAMABAD: Colonel Joseph Emanuel Hall, defence attaché at the US Embassy, who is involved in killing a boy in a road accident, on Monday left the country following removal of his name from the blacklist.

Police sources said the US diplomat has left the country in a special plane after authorities concerned removed his name from the blacklist. They said that police have handed over all the record of the case registered against Hall to the US and the US Embassy assured that complete legal action would be taken against him under the US laws.

Source said that Hall enjoyed complete diplomatic immunity. Despite request of Pakistan, the US government refused to exempt Hall from diplomatic immunity, they said.

On May 12 the Immigration Wing of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had barred Hall from leaving the country after he arrived at the airport to board a special US plane C-130, which landed at Noor Khan Airbase for taking him back.
