RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: Power shortage has reached to 3100 megawatt that led to increase in load shedding both on rural and urban feeders.

Sources said reduction on water releases from Tarbela and Mangla dams

was prime reason of drop in power generation that was recorded at 21100 megawatt on Friday.

It may be noted that the frequency of power outages has improved with a rise in mercury, which is likely to touch highest level in the days ahead.

Meanwhile, the trend of over billing has hit the consumers once again and a large number of them are found visiting LESCO office for correction of the bills. Similarly, complaints regarding faulty electricity meters are also on the rise.
