LAHORE: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan has been endeavoring to provide assistance to the business forums to help enhance the pace of trade development of the Country.

Mian Riaz Ahmad, DG TDAP, Lahore stated this while talking to the M/s. Alibaba.com Pakistan Country Managers Denny Wang, and  Patrick  called on him at TDAP Lahore here Wednesday.

The DG said that under Emerging Pakistan initiative as envisaged by Younus Dagha, Secretary Commerce is a way forward in focusing and projecting the products of the country abroad which will subsequently help in enhancing the trade volume of the country. 

Denny Wang highlighted the activities of M/s Alibaba that provides trade services to the business community. He appraised the DG about how the business community can use the platform and gain new skills. This will help the business sector in understanding the latest business trends through Alibaba’s e-Commerce services.

Denny Wang termed Lahore as the most energetic city and economic hub of Pakistan. He said that in Lahore people are successfully running SMEs and they are ready to provide them support so that they can improve their business.  

Denny Wang and Patrick said that TDAP can act as a bridge between Alibaba and leading companies of key industries. He asked for TDAP support on events like seminar, workshop etc to Lahore SMEs to empower them for exportation and e-Commerce.
