Maryum among 439 candidates obtain nomination papers

LAHORE: As many as 439 candidates including Maryum Nawaz Sharif and others here Wednesday obtained nomination papers for the National Assembly’s constituencies from Lahore.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif obtained nomination papers to contest her first ever election of National Assembly’s seat from NA-125.

Through her representative, Marayam also secured the nomination forms for NA-127, Lahore from the office of district returning officer.  

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, former advisor to prime minister Haroon Akhtar, Syeda Imtiaz Fatima, Matloob Ahmad Saffi among 40 candidates obtained the nomination forms. Faiza Malik of PPP and 13 other candidates got the nomination papers from NA-135.

As many as 650 candidates of different parties secured their nomination papers for 30 seats of Punjab Assembly. Bilal Yasin, Rana Mubashar, Rana Mashhood, Mujtaba Shuja Rehman, Rana Sohail and Maqsood Alam were among the prominent.

The last day of submission of the nomination papers is June 08 and the district returning officers would display the initial lists on the same day.
