KARACHI: The Met Office has asked the farmers to complete rice cultivation however the peanut growers should halt the crop sowing until soil moisture.

It also asked the farmers to devise plan for standing crops especially the vegetables amid harsh weather. Rainy spell is expected to grip most parts of the upper country in the next 24 hours.

Turbat and Sibbi sizzled with 50 degrees Celsius, each, Noorpurthal 48, Bahawalnagar and Jacobabad 47, each. A very hot and dry weather is expected to prevail over the most parts of the country.

Isolated rain-thundershower with gusty winds and sandstorm is expected in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Lahore, Sahiwal and D G Khan Divisions, Upper FATA, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Islamabad and Kashmir on Sunday.

Humidity level may grow to 80 percent during the next 48 hours. Temperature in Karachi was 36.5 degrees Celsius on Saturday with partly cloudy weather.
