LAHORE: National Engineering Services Pakistan (Nespak) will extend free consultancy for development projects while cooperation with the Punjab government will be further strengthened.

This was stated by the Managing Director Nespak Amjad Khan during a meeting with the caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari, here on Wednesday. During the meeting, matters pertaining to the projects started in collaboration with Nespak came under discussion.

Talking on the occasion, Dr Askari appreciated the collaboration rendered by Nespak in various ongoing projects. “The caretaker government has been continuing public welfare projects and the government is working with commitment, passion and hard work to provide facilities to the citizens,” he added.

Askari said that line departments have taken prompt action to deal with the situation arising due to unusual rain. The Mall Road will be opened for traffic soon after filling the sinkhole, he added.

He said that inquiry committee has started to investigate the matter and necessary steps would be taken in the light of report of this committee. He said that administration and line departments have arduously worked in a professional manner to normalize the unusual situation.
