KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Preventive on Saturday claimed to have confiscated myriad quantity of betel nuts from a warehouse in Karachi.

The action was taken on a tip-off, which revealed that huge quantity of betel nuts were stored in a warehouse located behind the City Court. Reacting on the information, a team of preventive staff was constituted for conducting raid. The team later carried out operation at the said warehouse and recovered 20,600 kilograms of betel nuts worth in millions. Consequent upon recovery, the case has been registered and further investigation was underway.
