PESHAWAR: District administration Peshawar Friday constituted a committee comprising industrialists to resolve related problems in Industrial Estate Hayatabad. The committee has directed to prepare and present its report within a period of 10 days.

The decision was taken during a visit of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh to the industrial estate. During the visit, the DC was also accompanied by Superintendent of Traffic Police, Amir Mohammad Khan, Superintendent DC Mohammad Sadiq and others.

The Deputy Commissioner held meeting with the Estate Manager, Economic Zone Development, Faiz Mohammad and representatives of the Industrialists Association Peshawar and collected first hand information regarding their problems.

The representatives of the Industrialists Association told him that due to construction work on Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project, the entry of heavy vehicles to Hayatabad through Ring Road is banned in morning times and their entry is allowed from 9:00 P.M to till 6:00 A.M. The ban they said had multiplied the problems and their business is going in loss.

They requested the Deputy Commissioner for the vacation of the ban to allow the entry of heavy vehicles around the clock. They also highlighted parking related problems.
