KARACHI: The country exported $2.261 billion of bed-wear textile in July-June 2017-18, higher by 6 percent, official figures say.

Increase in bed-wear textile export now stands at $123.297 million in July-June 2017-18 from $2.137 billion in July-June 2016-17, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics shows.

In term of volume, the country exported bed-wear textile by 4.47 percent or 15967 metric tons to 373,513 metric tons in July-June 2017-18 comparing to its export of 357,546 metric tons.

In June 2018, the country made an export $205.491 million of bed-wear textile as against $210.430 million exported in June 2017, down by 2.35 percent or $4.939 million.

Export volume of bed-wear textile slumped by 12 percent or 4342 metric tons to 32,206 metric tons in June 2018 from 36,548 metric tons in June 2017.
