KARACHI: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister Sindh on Information and Archives, Enquiries and Anti-Corruption, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, said that no legislation has been made about luxury vehicles.

He said that caretaker government had prepared a policy regarding luxury vehicles; but, incumbent cabinet would discuss the issue to decide what to do.

The news regarding use of luxury cars are totally wrong and there is no truth in the news because it gives an impression that the present government has made legislation about luxury vehicles.

Murtaza Wahab further said that the bullet proof vehicles are provided to police due to security reasons. “Sindh Chief Minister is using only one car and all other vehicles are used for visit of VVIPs such as President, Prime Minister and other diplomats,” he said.

The adviser said that the provincial government would make a comprehensive policy regarding luxury vehicles so that it could be made impossible to misuse such luxury vehicles.—PR
