LAHORE: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB)’s developed Business Registration Portal in collaboration with industries department launched in January this year has registered 9301 businesses to provide ease of doing businesses. It was briefed in a project progress review meeting held under Dr. Umar Saif Chairman PITB here Wednesday.

The meeting was informed that the registered businesses include 5,465 of Industries department, 1,747 of Punjab Employees Social Security Institutions (PESSI) and 2,089 of Labour, which includes shops and establishment registration.

Dr Umar Saif directed the PITB team to create awareness among business entities in coordination with labour and Human Resource departments, establish Registration Camps at prominent markets of Lahore to facilitate the business community.

The Business Portal provides online solutions and executes all business processes in a user-friendly environment and improves productivity to conduct business registration activities efficiently and in a timely manner, which is a practical translation of ‘Ease of Doing Business’ plan.
