PM’s address to the nation

In his address to the nation on Wednesday, prime minister Imran Khan expressed his pleasure over $6 billion Saudi package. According to him, his government is looking forward to packages from at least two countries as well. Explaining what actually the Saudi package means, the prime minister pointed out that the Saudi assistance in terms of balance of payment support and deferred oil payment facility would lessen the burden of the conditionalities that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be placing on Pakistan. In other words, the kingdom’s helping hand has strengthened Pakistan’s position in relation to talks with the IMF.

The prime minister has castigated the two previous governments for woefully adding to country’s stock of debt. He has vowed that accountability would be carried out what come may. His is a noble objective against all those who have allegedly looted country must be made to face accountability. There must be no exceptions. No one can challenge or dispute firmness of prime minister’s resolve.
