RECORDER REPORT

ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court Tuesday extended transit remand of President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif till November 10 in the Aashiana Housing Scheme case.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) produced Shahbaz Sharif before Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir amid tight security arrangements. Shahbaz prayed to the court to grant him transit remand till November 10, which the court approved.

The NAB requested the court to extend Shahbaz Sharif’s transit remand till November 12 but the court granted transit remand till November 10.

Later, Shahbaz met with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who also appeared before another accountability court in the Flagship reference filed against him by the NAB.

Shahbaz was already on transit remand, which was expired on Tuesday. The NAB arrested Shahbaz on October 6 in the Ashiana-i-Iqbal Housing Scheme case. He has been residing in the Ministers’ enclave since the NAB declared the premises as a sub-jail.
