BANNU: Bannu police recovered a huge quantity of weapons and explosives here on Saturday.

The police on a tip-off launched operation in Machi Khel Jani Khel area of the district. During the operation, a huge quantity of weapons including rocket-launchers, mortar shells, explosives and other material used in terrorist activities was recovered.

The bomb disposal squad (BDS) defused the recovered mortar shells and explosives.

A case was registered against unidentified culprits at CTD police station in Bannu and investigation was kicked off.—INP
