KARACHI: Minister for Labour and Human Resources Sindh, Ghulam Murtaza Baloch, has announced that a committee will be constituted comprising representatives of organisations concerned and Site Association of Industry (SAI) to resolve industrial sector’s issues on priority basis.

Speaking at a meeting of SAI, he said that the committee will have full authority to take up issues of audit, minimum wages and other issues and get them resolved.

Taking notice of complaints regarding several audits in a year, he assured that only one industrial audit will be carried out in a year.

He said that the provincial government will resolve all issues in consolation with industrial community.

He said that the provincial government taking appropriate measures to provide all possible assistance to labourers.

He said the department will soon approach government of Sindh for approval of a medical college in site indusial area for children of labours.

Upgrading Valika Hospital to ensure better medical facilities for labours, after getting approval of the cabinet, NICVD units will be established at Valika Hospital Landhi, he added.

He assured that he would approach minister for industries and local bodies to initiate development of roads in this industrial estate.
