LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab has demanded of withdrawal of increase in petrol prices, saying that the government has increased prices in a situation when the nation was busy with a response to India aggression.

Parliamentary leader PPP Punjab Syed Hassan Murtaza said leadership from all the political parties are has stood with the government in this hour or ordeal but the government has turned the moment into an opportunity and increased petrol prices.

He said the government should withdraw this hike in petrol prices and show high gesture like the opposition parties. He said the people of Pakistan are already facing inflation and they are not in a position to bear any further burden.

He lamented that all the steps of the government were anti-people.
