HYDERABAD: Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Mohammad Abbas Baloch strictly directed the officers concerned to complete M&R Schemes before June 2019. He said that since the process of tenders of these schemes had been completed thus work on them should be started without delay and also directed to send photos of initial condition and condition after repair work of schemes, certificate of department concerned along with their report to his office so that work on these schemes could be monitored as well as release of funds and work position of schemes could be analyzed. This he directed while presiding over a meeting of Divisional Oversight Committee at his office on Tuesday.

The Additional Commissioner-I Syed Sajjad Haider, DC Hyderabad Syed Aijaz Ali Shah, DC Matiari Parwaiz Baloch, DC Dadu Shah Zaman Khoro, DC Tando Allahyar Abdul Rasheed Zardari and officers of concerned department attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed the M&R schemes 2018-19 of districts Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Dadu and Sujawal in detail.

The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad asked the Deputy Commissioners to monitor the schemes of Roads & Buildings Department personally as it was noticed that despite of getting funds every year, condition of government schools and other buildings were not improved which was a question mark on their performance.

He made it clear that if released funds for the schemes had not been utilized yet and funds would be lapsed so action would be taken against concerned department.

He also directed for not making advance payment for the schemes unless the work would be completed and inspected.

He said that contracts would be cancelled and action would be taken against Contractors who neither complete the schemes in stipulated time nor ensure the quality of work.
