NAB summons heads of Larkana’s eight godowns

SUKKUR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday summoned eight wheat godown in-charges of Larkana over alleged corruption. The godown in-charges have been summoned to appear before NAB along with the concerned record.

Rs1 million losses occurred due to alleged corruption in the wheat stock in only four wheat warehouse in Larkana district. NAB has asked to submit details of how many wheat bags they had received from 2007, how much wheat bags were sold and how many still remains in stock.

On April 27, wheat worth 12 million rupees was allegedly stolen from godowns in Sindh. This was revealed during raids by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) at the godowns along with a magistrate.

The raids at warehouses of Kandhkot and Kashmore were carried out on order of the NAB chairman.—INP
