PESHAWAR: Six people were killed while four others including women injured when a vehicle of a wedding party fell into a deep ravine in Garhi Habibullah area of the district Mansehra on Saturday night.

According to the police, a jeep that was part of a convoy of vehicles of wedding party, was coming back to Gali Miran area when it went out of driver’s control and fell into a deep ravine.

Local sources said the accident happened at night due to which the rescue personnel faced difficulties in their operation. Four persons died on the spot while six were injured. Those who died on the spot were identified as Ali Asghar, Muhammad Shakeel, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Liaquat.

The injured persons were shifted to King Abdullah Hospital in Mansehra. The police said two of the injured succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, increasing the death toll to six. The four injured persons were under treatment at the hospital.
