PESHAWAR: Scores of workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Landi Kotal chapter on Monday took out a protest rally against Federal Minister Noorul Haq Qadri for allegedly supporting independence candidate in main bazaar in Landi Kotal.

The rally led by PTI Landi Kotal former President Muhammad Hakim, Ghulam Haidar, Vice-president Insaf Students Federation (ISF) Saddam Hussain and others. The participants were holding placard and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of their demands.

Speaking on the occasion, PTI leaders alleged the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Noor ul Haq Qadri for supporting independent candidate instead of the party’s nominated candidate for PK-105, which, they said is a violation of the party manifesto.

The protesters further criticized that the Minister for his personal interest has adopted double standard by supporting PTI candidate in PK-106, while neglecting the party candidate in PK-105, they remarked.

They added that the mentioned independent candidate utilized PTI flag and exhibited himself as the original worker and the candidate and needed to be dealt as per law by the election commission.

They threatened that if disciplinary action was not taken against the Federal Minister, they would initiate a sit-in, in front of Chief Minister and Governor Houses.
