KARACHI: The Met Office on Thursday asked the farmers for taking steps to clean the standing crops especially the peanut. Besides, the farmers should irrigate their Kharif crops regularly keeping in view the continuing weather it said rice growers should sow the crop saplings in accordance with the recommendations by the agricultural experts.

Day and night time temperature is likely to remain above normal in the most of agricultural plains of the country until July 10 with normal winds. Strong winds may strike Baluchistan, Sindh and southern Punjab.

Weather in Punjab is expected mainly hot and dry in the most parts with an isolated rain-thunderstorm in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faislabad, Lahore and Sahiwal Divisions, Islamabad till July 5. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, scattered rain-thunderstorm is expected.
