ISLAMABAD: Acting President/CEO, Sheikh Aman Ullah, launched tree plantation campaign on Wednesday by planting a tree at the Head Office in Islamabad.

On the occasion, he said that Pakistan is ranked among the countries vulnerable to climate change & tree plantation is important to protect the environment from degradation. In conformity to the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to address the challenges of climate change through plantation drive under the 10 Billion Sunami tree plantation campaign, the ZTBL has joined hands with the government to augment efforts in this regard, says a press release issued here on Wednesday.

He mentioned that the bank has earmarked a target of 1,60,000 trees for plantation in the five years and has already planted 18,000 trees out of annual target of 32,000 trees at different locations. The remaining target of 14,000 trees for the current year will be achieved by end of the year.

He advised all zonal offices & branches to plant tree for Pakistan across the country and play due role towards this noble cause.—PR
