KARTARPUR: Both the Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu made fiery speeches during the opening ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor.

Qureshi lauded Imran Khan for fulfilling his promise with the people of India.

“The way this Gurdwara has been opened for the Sikh community, I request to Prime Minister Modi to open Kashmir’s Jamia Mosque so that the Muslims of Kashmir could offer their prayers,” he stressed.

He also asked whether Modi would give Prime Minister Imran Khan an opportunity to thank him by lifting curfew in Kashmir.

Navjot Singh Sidhu made a very emotional speech, loaded with couplets and sayings of Baba Guru Nanak. “It is the first time since partition that the boundaries have been dismantled. No one can deny my friend Imran Khan’s contribution. I thank Modi Ji also for it,” he said.
