KARACHI: The Professionals Network with the collaboration of Indus Hospital, Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation (AMTF) Child Aid Association, Aghosh (Old Age Home), Markaze Umeed, Umeed Gah are organizing the CSR Summit & Awards 2020 on Jan 30th, at a local Hotel

Briefing newsman about the event, Founder & CEO of TPN Mehmood Tareen along with Ateeq Ur Rehman, CSR Activist & Executive Director AMTF said that leading Corporate CEO’s, Government Officials, Consulate Generals, CSR experts and renowned philanthropist will address the big gathering of 300 corporate individuals.

A full day of activities includes the presentations, showcase of CSR activities, networking, media talk and a grand CSR 2020 award ceremony.

The event objective is to provide an innovative platform of interaction and networking, while creating awareness about CSR among the conference delegates and award participants.

The experts will discuss the emerging concepts and issues related to CSR in Pakistan and provide remedies based on practical approaches and implementation techniques.     

Moreover, TPN has planned to stage an exclusive “CSR Gallery” on the occasion comprising of 20 stalls like the last eight events. The Corporate Companies and NGO’s will showcase their exemplary CSR Activities / Initiatives (local and international) for the promotion of CSR in Pakistan. The Inaugural Session will be presided over by prominent leader of the business community and concluding session will be chaired by the Governor Sindh. They also informed that this CSR event is the first and only Intellectual Property Rights registered CSR event of Pakistan with right of protection from Government of Pakistan.

Organizers said that 50 Corporate Companies will be awarded in various categories on the occasion on their exemplary CSR contributions during the year 2019. NBP, OGDCL, Habibmetro, Nestle, EFU Life, HUBCO, Lucky Cement, Bank Al Falah, Engro Corporation, Bayer Pakistan, PNSC, SSGC, Amreli Steels, Gul Ahmed Textile, Engro Fertlizers, Engro Polymer & Chemicals, Fatima Fertilizers and many other corporate entities will participate in the event. NGOs like Indus Hospital (Anti Rabies Department), AMTF (for Thalassemia Treatment), Burns Centre (for Burns Treatment), MALC (for Leprosy Treatment), SIUT (for Kidney Treatment), NICVD (for Chest Unit Centers), Aghosh (for Old Age Shelter Home), Garage School (for Community Education), JPSD (Educations for Deprived), JDC, and Others will be awarded for their contributions to the marginalized person of the Society.
