MCC surpasses revenue collection target

QUETTA: Model Collectorate of Customs Appraisement, Quetta collected Rs 14955.377 million revenue as import duties/taxes during the first half of fiscal year 2019-20.

According to Collector Appraisement Quetta, the Collectorate collected Rs 14955.377 million revenue during the period of July to December, 2019, which is 13 percent excess of the assigned target of Rs 13222 million. When compared to year-on-year basis, the collection of first half of current Financial Year is 23 percent more than the collection of Rs 12142 million for corresponding period of the last Financial Year. The Collector further stated that this collection is the result of the all out combined efforts of the whole team.

FBR lauded the Collectorate on its unprecedented performance. Customs department is playing a vital role in generating revenue for national exchequer and MCC Appraisement is utilising all available resources and means to enhance revenue generation for the country.—PR
