KARACHI: Some 231 exhibitors from Pakistan participated in the Heimtextil Frankfurt, Germany held from 07 to 10 January, 2020.

The 50th Anniversary edition presented more sustainable products than ever before and provided inspiration for trade and industry exhibitors and visitors accepted the new trade fair concept with great enthusiasm and confirmed the trade fair’s position as the world’s most important meeting place for the industry. 

According to organizers, this time a total of 231 exhibitors represented Pakistan. These manufacturers rely on Heimtextil as an attractive platform for export business and as a trendsetting launch event where they can present their new season products at the start of the year.

Pakistan had 231 exhibitors, some of the exhibitors participated under the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) pavilion in Halls 10.0 and 10.3.

The international home textiles industry has enjoyed a promising start at Heimtextil and around 70,000 visitors experienced design innovations by around 3,000 international exhibitors from 65 countries. With growth on both the visitor and exhibitor side, Heimtextil has convinced the world with its unique position for home & household textile.

The Asian premium area for household textiles can be found in hall 10.2. Al-Karam, Gul Ahmed, Kamal Ltd, Sapphire, and Yunus Textile etc showcased their premium products in Hall 10.2.

A major spotlight of the show was Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (IVS) stand in Hall 3.0 and Student’s delegation from Asian Institute of Fashion Design. Around 900 trade visitors from Pakistan attended Heimtextil Frankfurt 2020.

Khawaja Khurram Naeem, Pakistan Commercial Counsellor in Germany said that the exporters have improved their work in order to compete the market, for this I met so many exporters who have invested new plants and brought new technologies and this creates a hope among the exports that they have a chance to grow.

“We are trying our best to educate our exporters more and help them in our best ways”, he added.

Zaki Bashir from Gul Ahmed and Executive Committee All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) expressed his views about the 50th edition of Heimtextil 2020 by saying, “We have been one of the oldest exhibitors from Pakistan at Heimtextil. This year we are very happy with the turnout of visitors and presented our new products and designs to a variety of buyers from all over the world.”

Ghulam Mustafa from Nimra Textile said that on this 50th anniversary edition, Heimtextil has set a fantastic variety of programs, it was worth the experience and we got good number of inquiries.

Moin A Razzak from Hasham Towel and Executive Committee Towel Manufacturers’ Association of Pakistan (TMA) pleasantly shared his comments that we are very much content with the fair as we met many customers and got good response from them. Haroon Shamsi from Shaheen Industries and Executive Committee Towel Manufacturers’ Association of Pakistan (TMA) said that the entire response on each day of the fair was very good.
