Punjab CM lends a helping hand to affected people

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday contacted Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan and extended full cooperation for the assistance of people affected due to torrential rains and snowfall in Balochistan.

“The Punjab government is ready to help the affected people of Balochistan along with the provision of necessary cooperation in relief activities. We will not leave our affected brethren alone in this critical moment, as helping them is our responsibility,” the Punjab CM said. Buzdar also expressed a deep sense of sorrow over the loss of lives and property in Balochistan. He extended sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured.

Meanwhile, in a message Buzdar said Arfa Karim lives in our hearts; “she brought laurels to the country and achieved success in the field of information technology”. “She is a symbol of courage and commitment and a ray of hope for the youth,” he added.

According to him, Arfa Karim showed to the world that the Pakistani youth is not behind in the IT field. The Punjab government is advancing her mission by promoting IT and several steps have been taken in this regard. They have also used information technology for improving good governance.
