PESHAWAR: Secretary Agriculture, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Israrullah Khan has said that a modern technology for the sowing of sugarcane has been introduced that will not only save time but will also improve the life standard of farmers.

He expressed these views while addressing a function organized under USAID and Pakistan Agriculture Technology Transfer Activity here at the Hujra of Rashid Mahmood Babuzai.

The Secretary Agriculture said that through the modern technology, the farmers can sow sugarcane automatically in the land.

Speaking on the occasion, known farmer and president, Model Farm Services, Rashid Mahmood thanked the USAID Pakistan Chapter and Pakistan Agriculture Technology Transfer Activity for introducing the modern technology that will not only save the time of sugarcane farmers but will also increase the production of crop.

Rashid Mahmood said that farmers are highly happy with the introduction of this modern automatic machine.

On this occasion, other speakers said that the introduction of such modern machinery would further improve food security and will not only help to meet local demand of sugar but will also help promote the agriculture sector of other countries.
