ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam has urged the Pakistani companies showing excellence in corporate philanthropy to join hands with the government as partners in the Prime Minister's Clean and Green Pakistan initiative.

He stated this while speaking as being the guest of honour at the 12th Annual CSR Summit and Awards-2020 organized by National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH).

On the occasion, over 60 companies were conferred awards for showing outstanding performance in the arena of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Noted singer and Chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Abrar Ul Haq said that charitable hospital established by him had been covering over four million population in rural and remote parts of the country who earlier hadn't have any medical facility.

He said that a medical college had also been part of his philanthropic operation whose scope was being expanded with addition of a cancer hospital.

NFEH President Naeem Qureshi also spoke on the occasion and said that the CSR conference was being organized every year so that the corporate sector could establish a meaningful relationship with the charitable work being done in the country for the benefit of the disadvantaged people.

Later, Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri and Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi jointly conferred awards to more than 60 companies for showing excellence in CSR work during last one year.-PR
