KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves increased by $87 million during last week.

According to the weekly report issued Thursday, the State Bank’s foreign exchange reserves surged to $12.592 billion as on February 21 compared to $12.505 billion on February 14, 2020.

However, reserves held by banks declined by $91 million to $6.151 billion at the end of last week. During the period under review, total liquid foreign exchange reserves held by the country stood at $18.743 billion down by $4 million.
