RECORDER REPORT

KARACHI: Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has declined the request of Qatar Airways to allow international flight operations to/from Pakistan until April 30, 2020.

According to the documents, PCAA has allowed Qatar Airways to continue its scheduled international flight operations to/from Pakistan till March 29, 2020 despite the imposition of health emergency to avert the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Now, the Qatar Airways wants further extension in re-instatement of scheduled passenger air services to/from Islamabad until April 30, 2020. For the purpose, the airline through letter requested the PCAA to allow continuation of scheduled international flight operations to/from Islamabad till April 30, 2020.

However, the PCAA has finally declined the request and decided to suspend further extension of Qatar Airways international flight operations to/from Pakistan beyond March 29, 2020.
