LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar inaugurated Corona Telemedicine Center at Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) on Wednesday.

Talking to media on this occasion, the Governor said that they launched the first telemedicine centre at University of Health Sciences Lahore (UHS) on March 19 and so far 32 such facilities have been set up in Punjab. He assured the people that more telemedicine centers would be established wherever needed, adding that so far 45,000 individuals have contacted these centers and received information about safety and precautionary steps from doctors. “Hence, a number of people visiting hospitals have reduced substantially,” he added.

He also urged all political parties and philanthropists to fulfill their responsibility by providing ration to the needy people impacted by the virus outbreak.
