PESHAWAR: Advisor to KP CM on Local Governments and Rural Development (LG&RD), Kamran Bangash has been tested positive for coronavirus and quarantined at his residence for a period of two weeks, said an officially issued press release here Saturday.

The aide of KP Chief Minister Kamran Bangash fell ill on Thursday and was taken to hospital Friday morning where doctors tested him for coronavirus that came positive.

Blood tests of 11 members of the family of Kamran Bangash have also been collected and sent to laboratory for test.

The Advisor remained active during the efforts of the provincial government against coronavirus and apart from attending office also paid visits to different areas of the province for inspection cleanliness measures taken by the department and for encouragement of the field staff.

Few days back, he had also paid a visit to Lakki Marwat district for monitoring of activities and performance of field staff of his department.

In his message, Kamran Bangash has requested people to stay at home for protection of their own and others from this pandemic.
