KARACHI: In a move to maintain social distancing and stem the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, Sindh government on Tuesday notified ban on religious gatherings, including Yaum-e-Ali, in the province including Karachi.

A notification issued by the Home Department of Sindh said that in continuation and partial notification order of the corona SOPs dated 23 April 2020, all religious activities during the holy month of Ramazan involving gatherings of people like Majalis and procession to mark the Shahadat-e-Imam Ali (AS), religious rallies/gatherings and Mehfil-e-Shabeenas shall not be held.

The Sindh government notification said that all directions and instructions contained in the order dated April 23, 2020 shall apply.
