KARACHI: Chances of Shawwal crescent moon sighting are unlikely on May 23, 2020, Saturday falling on 29th of Ramazan 1441 AH, according to the Met Office.

It dismissed any chances of the moon for Eidul Fitr could be visible on the evening of May 23, indicating that month of Ramazan will have 30 days to end.

“The new moon of Shawwal, 1441 AH will be born on crossing conjunction point at 22:39 PST on 22-05-2020,” it said that there is a slight chance of sighting the new moon.

According to climate record, the Met said, the weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy in most parts of the country on May 23.
