KARACHI: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours, the Met Office said on Saturday.

However, it said, rain wind-thunderstorm was likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas on Sunday.

The city’s weather may remain hot and humid. Temperature in Karachi is expected to remain between 36 degrees Celsius and 38 degrees Celsius with a maximum humidity in the morning between 65 percent and 75 percent and latter may drop between 45 percent and 55 percent in the evening.

In the past 24 hours: The country’s weather remained hot and dry in its most parts. However, Balochistan and Kashmir experience rainfall as Lasbella and Muzaffarabad received 1 mm, each.

The highest temperature was recorded in Shaheed Benazirabad 45 degrees Celsius, Mithi, Dadu, Chhor and Jaccobabad 44, each.

“Dry continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country,” the Met added.
