ISLAMABAD: The Sugar Inquiry Commission has discussed the role of former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, ex-Commerce Minister, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar and former Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Commerce Advisor Abdul Razak Dawood.

The Commission has accused SECP, CCP and FBR for not playing their due roles to stop this illegal business.

The Inquiry Commission has also traced over 300 sugar buyers who were found involved in Benami transactions worth over Rs 360 billion.—MUSHTAQ GHUMMAN
