ISLAMABAD: The coronavirus cases in Pakistan have reached 239,225, with 4,945 deaths and 140,965 recovered, according to the latest data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) and the provincial health departments. The Punjab has reported 930 new Covid-19 cases, taking the provincial tally to 83,599, according to the government’s database.

The province has also reported 30 additional fatalities from the virus, taking the death toll to 1,929.

Meanwhile, the number of recovered patients in the province has risen to 50,916.

Sindh has reported 1,736 more cases of the novel coronavirus, taking the provincial tally to 99,362.

Moreover, a statement issued by the CM House confirmed the death of 22 more persons due to the virus.

The death toll in the province now stands at 1,637.

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Health Department has reported 445 new Covid-19 cases taking the total number of cases to 28,681.

The KP health authorities have reported seven more deaths taking the total to 1,045, while 717 patients have recovered taking the provincial total to 17,266.

Balochistan has reported 78 new cases of the novel coronavirus, raising the provincial tally to 10,919.

Moreover, the health department also confirmed the death of one more person from the virus. The death toll of the province now stands at 124.

Islamabad has reported 93 new coronavirus cases, according to the government’s Covid-19 portal, taking the capital’s total to 13,650.

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir has reported 36 new cases, while the Gilgit-Baltistan has confirmed eight, taking their tallies to 1,419 and 1,595 respectively.

Islamabad and GB have not recorded any additional fatalities, while the AJK has reported four deaths.— ABDUL RASHEED AZAD
