PTI govt focuses on removing deprivation: Buzdar

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in a meeting with Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul here Wednesday said the government has focused on removing the deprivations of backward areas and working day and night to ameliorate the lot of the common man.

The Southern Punjab Secretariat has been set up and public problems will be solved at their doorsteps, the CM said.

Both strongly condemned Indian brutalities against hapless Kashmiris and continued curfew in Indian Occupied Kashmir. They appreciated the step of adding Occupied Jammu & Kashmir in the political map of Pakistan.

Zartaj Gul appreciated the work done by CM Punjab for the development of DG Khan adding that record development has been made in Southern Punjab during the last two years.

On the instructions of Chief Minister, a 3- member committee has been constituted to improve the existing system of shelter homes. ACS (U&I) will be the convenor while Secretary Social Welfare and Chairman PITB are its members. The committee will submit recommendations about financial and administrative autonomy of shelter homes to the CM within seven days.

Moreover, the CM has thanked the Pakistani nation especially people of Punjab for observing Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir in a befitting manner. Usman Buzdar said that citizens of Pakistan participated in agitation ceremonies held against revoking special status of India Occupied Kashmir.
