KARACHI: Former Chief Executive of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and Patron-in-Chief of United Business Group (UBG) S M Muneer has expressed his confident that there is a strong prospect of further enhancing trade relations with Canada in the future.

He said that bilateral trade between Pakistan and Canada needs to be further enhanced and we are working with the Pakistani Consulate in Toronto to promote bilateral trade.

He said that Pakistan is a peaceful country and Prime Minister Imran Khan is taking important steps including economic stabilization of the country and bringing in foreign investment in Pakistan.

He said Pakistan has excellent trade relations with other countries while Canada has become Pakistan’s best trading partner.

He expressed these views in a meeting with Consul General Abdul Hameed during his visit to the Pakistani Consulate in Toronto.

If the trade delegations of the two countries are facilitated to visit each other’s countries frequently, hold trade exhibitions not only investors will move forward but also increase trade between the two countries, he added.

“We are working to increase Pakistani products’ access to Canadian markets and to accelerate trade.

He praised the performance of Pakistani diplomats in Canada and said that they are engaged in positive efforts to enhance bilateral trade relations, work on modern lines to promote Pakistani products in Canadian markets and increase Pakistani exports.
