KARACHI: On Tuesday, after market close, PKR remained unchanged against USD in interbank market. It however went down against USD, AED and SR in open market while going up against Euro.

INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, on market close, Pakistan Rupee remained unchanged against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 163.75 and 163.85 respectively.

OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR lost 25 paisas for buying and 10 paisas for selling over yesterday's rates closing at 164.05 and 164.30 respectively.

Against Euro, PKR went up by 50 paisas for buying and selling closing at 191.50 and 193 respectively.

Against UAE Dirham, PKR remained unchanged for buying while losing 5 paisas for selling closing at 44.40 and 44.65 respectively.

Against Saudi Riyal, PKR lost 5 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 43.35 and 43.50 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee stayed unchanged on buying side while it gained 40-paisa on selling side in relation to the greenback in the local currency market on Tuesday.

According to the currency dealers, the dollar resumed trading on a mixed note and remained unchanged on buying side at Rs 163.50. However, because of lacking buyer's interest, the dollar could not sustain and declined to Rs 164.30 against the overnight closing of Rs 164.70. On the contrary, the rupee remained under pressure and depreciated its worth against the pound sterling. The pound's buying and selling rate improved from the day earlier closing of Rs 211.50 to Rs 213.20 to Rs 212.00 and Rs 215.00, respectively, the dealers said.

RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee remained firm against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Tuesday.

The dollar opened at Rs164.30 (buying) and Rs164.40 (selling) against same last rate.

It closed at Rs164.30 (buying) and Rs164.40 (selling).

The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 115,300(selling) and Rs115,100(buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
