The Gujranwala show

“Today is D-Day.”

“How come? You have taken a Corona test and the results are expected today?”

“No I was referring to the opposition’s show of strength in Gujranwala today.”

“I assume by saying today is D day you reckon a definitive outcome of the launch of the joint opposition’s political move; but I ask you since when did anything the opposition did in this country changed the political map of the country?”

“Excuse me but isn’t Shahbaz Sharif in jail and therefore not participating in the movement?!”

“Uh oh; so you reckon The Khan administration is once again looking at the wrong end…end of things….”

“Wrong end indeed! Now Maryam Nawaz and Bilawal are, thank the good Lord, healthy wealthy though I am not sure about wise.”

“The Khan has instructed his media team to project his narrative to counter the Opposition’s move.”

“Hey granted that we are the silent majority however we are not willing to swallow The Khan’s narrative that all is well – that the current state of the economy is the fault of previous administrations and…”

“And God Bless Hammad Azhar, of the SOAS London fame’s argument: he claimed that depreciation is not a factor in inflation because its effect is limited to within two to three months, however does the gentleman realize that the depreciation is ongoing though the State Bank has recently allowed for some appreciation of the rupee…”

“I heard the IMF is not hiring or rehiring anyone because of the pandemic!”

“You are so bad!”
