PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has depicted remarkable revenue generation due to decreased in rates of sales tax on 29 different services in order to provide relief to businesses sector just like tax dosti during current pandemic situation of Covid-19.

Under the supervision of KP Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra and DG KPRA Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah, in the fiscal year 2020-21 during 1st quarter instead of pandemic situation of Covid-19, Rs4.03 billion were collected through sales tax on services, including Infrastructure Development Cess(IDC) whose share is about Rs 299 million.

Tax expert Muhammad Umair Zeb shared updated comparison according to KPRA officials year-to date revenue of Rs 8.79 billion collected till end of Nov. Progress boosted up by 60% as compare to figures of last year i.e Rs 5.5 billion. November revenue of Rs 2.89 billion was recorded the highest ever achievement in single month.

According to a renowned tax expert of Peshawar Muhammad Umair Zeb, this is a peerless growth shown by KPRA, and the province will act as a safe haven for business entrepreneurs to register their businesses with KPRA and invest in KP businesses.
