LAHORE: The Punjab government has collected over 70 percent higher sales tax on services in the month of April. As per details, the Punjab Revenue Authority has collected Rs.10.07 billion in the month of April against Rs.5.9 billion during the corresponding period. Overall, the PRA’s revenue for the first 10 months of the current fiscal year stood at Rs.117.4 billion compared to Rs.85.5 billion last year, registering a growth of 37.2%.

According to the spokesperson, this is a significant increase considering the negative impact of the third wave of COVID-19 on the economy. He said the Authority is hopeful to achieve the revenue target for FY 2020-21.
