‘There’s no need to be worried’: PM

RECORDER REPORT

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday reiterated that there is no need to be worried about civil-military relations as they are “as good as anybody can expect”.

While chairing a meeting of the party spokespersons, he issued directives to effectively highlight the achievements of the government to counter the “propaganda” being staged by the opposition.

The sources said that the prime minister was confident that his government would be able to control the inflation as it has become major issue, which the opposition is constantly trying to exploit to defame the government.

“We know the people are suffering due to inflation, but we are not only aware of their sufferings but also trying our level best to control it to give relief to the common man,” he was quoted as saying.

They said that party spokespersons informed the prime minister about the problems arising out of the skyrocketing the issue of inflation especially the constant increase in petroleum products.

He was also told that inflation will certainly become a major issue for the party in next elections as almost everybody out there could be seen complaining about it, adding this will be the best tool with the opposition to defame the government if not taken appropriate steps.

The prime minister was quoted as saying that all-out efforts will be made to control inflation and the masses will be able to witness government’s performance in the coming days.

He maintained that the government is taking serious and concrete steps to curb inflation, adding hoarding mafia will not be allowed to thrive in the country.
