ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has constituted a “Issues Resolution Committee” for resolution of issues of pharmaceutical companies including payment of refunds.

The FBR has issued a notification here on Wednesday to issue terms of the reference of the committee.

According to notification, the “Issues Resolution Committee” would be headed by Chief Commissioner-IR, LTO, Karachi and comprising of senior officers of the FBR for resolution of issues of pharmaceutical companies.

The committee would be headed by Shahid Iqbal Baloch, Chief Commissioner-IR, LTO, Karachi and members of the committee included Sabihul Aijaz Commissioner IR, LTO Lahore; Masood Akhtar Commissioner IR, LTO Islamabad; Abdul Jawwad, Commissioner IR, CTO Lahore; Dr NajeebUllah, Commissioner IR, LTO Karachi; Dr, Muhammad Khuram, Add!: Commissioner IR, LTO Islamabad; Ms, HaidaSajjad, Deputy Commissioner-IR, CTO Lahore; Farrulch Aslam Deputy Commissioner IR, LTO Lahore; Anees Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner-IR, LTO Karachi; Shaded Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner-IR, LTO Karachi; Muntaha Saleem. Deputy Commissioner-IR CTO Islamabad; Aziz Iqbal, IR Audit Officer, MTO Karachi; Muhammad Flakier, Assistant Commissioner IR, CTO Karachi; Naeem Akbar, Senior Auditor—IR, LTO Karachi Member and ShahidRehan, Senior Auditor—IR, LTO Karachi.

Terms of Reference (TOR) of the Complaint Resolution Committee included review the nature of grievance/issue possible solution and take immediate action for its resolution.

The committee would follow up with concerned field formations till issue is resolved and also maintain complete record of complaints/issues, mechanism adopted for resolution and post resolution action required, if any.

Under the TORs notified by the FBR, the committee would share data with Board on monthly basis indicating issues received, issues resolved and issues pending for resolution and reasons for pendency, the FBR added.—SOHAIL SARFRAZ
