Activities of Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim
RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 109,752 tonnes of cargo comprising 73,715 tonnes of import cargo and 36,037 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 73,715 comprised of 36,513 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,697 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 9,651 tonnes of Dap & 25,854 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 36,037 comprised of 13,109 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 9 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 22,740 tonnes of Clinkers & 179 tonnes of Rice.
Around, 07 ships, namely GslGrania, Gfs Prime, Hmm Oakland, Jasmin, Cma Cgm Pointe-Noire, Aquilo, & Abu Al Abyad berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 07 ships, Kota Singa, Msc Flora, Sirius Highway, Da Cui Yun, Zahra, GingaSaker & Letizia Oetker sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of six ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a petroleum product carrier ‘Regina’ left the port on Tuesday morning, while three more ships, Horizon, Eleni-T and Royal Galaxy are expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 121,098 tonnes, comprising 92,457 tonnes imports cargo and 28,641 export cargo carried in 3,200 Containers (1,900 TEUs Imports &1,300 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are seven ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them a oil carrier ‘SC Ocean Lxi’ & two more ships, Obsession and GFS Prime scheduled to load/offload Furnace oil, Coal and Container are expected to take berths at FOTCO, MW-4 and QICT respectively on Tuesday 17th June, while two more container ships, Groton and Hansa Africa are due to arrive at outer anchorage on Wednesday 18th June, 2025.
