RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: In order to facilitate mentorship, career guidance and skill development for underprivileged and deserving students across Pakistan, the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and US-based non-profit organisation Aspiring Futures USA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was signed by LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol and Aspiring Futures Advisor Communications & Media Relations Haider Munir.

Speaking on the occasion, LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol said that, representing more than 46,000 members from the trade and industrial sectors, the Chamber would utilise its extensive network of business leaders to help bridge the gap between academia and industry.

He said the collaboration would contribute to developing a skilled workforce aligned with Pakistan’s economic requirements and provide young people with greater opportunities to build successful careers.

Uzma Qureshi, Founder of Aspiring Futures, termed the collaboration a significant milestone towards empowering Pakistani youth. She said the partnership would connect talented students with experienced business executives for career counselling and mentorship, while also creating pathways to scholarships, higher education and leadership development.

Under the agreement, the two organisations will jointly organise workshops, seminars and webinars focusing on youth leadership, entrepreneurship, career development and professional skills.

The initiative is aimed at equipping deserving students with practical knowledge, mentorship and exposure to professional opportunities, enabling them to make informed career choices and contribute more effectively to the country’s socio-economic development.
