48 terrorists killed in major operations across Balochistan
QUETTA/RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 36 terrorists in separate operations across Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi during the past 24 hours, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Friday.
The ISPR said that, over the preceding 48 to 72 hours, a total of 48 terrorists belonging to Indian-sponsored proxies, Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij had been killed across Balochistan.
The latest figure adds to the number of militants killed in counter-terrorism operations across the province during 2026. According to the ISPR, more than 1,188 terrorists have been killed in operations in Balochistan so far this year.
According to media wing of Pakistan Army, during last twenty four hours security forces sent to hell 36 Indian sponsored terrorists in multiple Intelligence based operations in Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi District of Balochistan.
During conduct of operation in Mastung, terrorists move was identified and engaged by security forces, intense fire exchange resulted in killing of six Indian sponsored terrorists. Cache of ammunitions and improvised explosive devices were also destroyed on-site.
In another engagement, an intelligence based operation was conducted in general area Shaban, district Quetta. During the conduct of operation, own troops identified four Khwarij hideouts and after an ensuing fire exchange neutralized twenty six Khwarij.
Another intelligence based operation was conducted in Kalat. During conducted of operation security forces raided terrorist hideout and killed two Indian sponsored terrorists. In Bhag area of district Sibi, swift response by security forces in conjunction with local population, foiled terrorist attempt to raid police station Bhag. During fire exchange two Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell.
“In last forty eight - seventy two hours 48 terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Hindustan & Fitna al Khwarij have been neutralised across Balochistan. Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area,” the ISPR statement said.
Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm-e-Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
During the first eight months of current year, at least 1188 terrorists have been sent to helll in various intelligence based operations across Balochistan.
Earlier, ISPR said that security forces personnel have killed 12 terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Kalat District while a number of Indian-sponsored terrorists were also killed when their attack on a police station in Kachhi District was beaten back.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement released on Friday, the intelligence-based operation was conducted on Wednesday on the reported presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna al-Hindustan.
“During the conduct of the operation, the terrorists’ hideout was identified, monitored and busted through prompt surgical action,” it said, adding that “all 12 Indian-sponsored terrorists” were killed.
A cache of ammunitions and improvised explosive devices were also destroyed on the site, the ISPR said and added sanitisation operations were being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorist found in the area.
It added that a relentless counter-terrorism campaign under “Azm-i-Istehkam” by security forces and law-enforcement agencies would “continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country”.
Terror attack thwarted in Kachhi: The security forces personnel and policed thwarted an attack by terrorists on a police station in Kachhi District on Friday morning, killed a number of Indian-sponsored terrorists.
The attack took place in Bhag Nari town of Kachhi. The police responded promptly because the security was already on high alert. Later they were joined by reinforcements from Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) under Operation Ruddul Fitna 3.
The local residents sided with the security forces personnel in forcing the terrorists to retreat, during which they suffered a number of casualties.
After beating back the attack, the security forces launched a clearance operation in the area.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani have paid tribute to the security forces for eliminating 12 terrorists backed by Indian proxy Fitna al Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in Kalat.
In their separate statements, they expressed their resolve to completely eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country.
They said the entire nation stood firmly with the armed forces in their unwavering resolve to safeguard the country.
“The continuous operations by law enforcement agencies and security forces are aimed at completely eliminating terrorism being patronized by external elements,” the president remarked.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said officers and personnel of the security forces were conducting effective operations against terrorists attempting to undermine peace in the country.
He said the government will never allow terrorists to succeed in their nefarious designs to disrupt peace in Balochistan.
In a statement, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the security forces for carrying out successful operations against militants identified by the government as Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij. He said the elimination of 36 militants during coordinated actions in different parts of Balochistan reflected the forces’ operational capabilities and commitment to maintaining security.
The interior minister praised the professionalism of the security personnel involved in the operations and acknowledged their efforts in responding to security threats. He said the forces had thwarted the plans of militant elements seeking to destabilize the country.
Naqvi also saluted the determination of security forces for continuing sustained operations against militant networks. He noted that the forces have been conducting effective actions in different regions to counter terrorism and prevent attacks on civilians and state institutions.
He reiterated that operations against militant groups would continue until the threat of terrorism would be fully eliminated. He said security agencies remained committed to pursuing those involved in violence and ensuring that terrorist networks were dismantled.
The interior minister emphasized that Pakistan’s fight against terrorism required continued national unity and support for the institutions responsible for maintaining peace and security. He said the people of Pakistan stood alongside the security forces in efforts to counter terrorism and safeguard the country.
Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani paid tribute to the security forces for identifying a hideout of Indian-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan in Kalat and eliminating 12 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation.
The acting president also lauded the security forces for destroying a cache of explosives at the terrorist hideout during the operation.
He said the country would foil the nefarious designs of Indian-backed terrorists and make Balochistan a region of peace and prosperity.
Yousuf Raza Gilani said the security forces would continue operations with full intensity until the menace of externally sponsored terrorism was completely eliminated from the country.NNI
