Pesco disconnects supply to several industrial defaulters

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) disconnected several industrial connections due to non payment of Rs 1.2 million, according to a press release issued here on Wednesday.

The disconnected connections included Frontier Pharmaceuticals, Shah Cotton, Jan Ali Poultry, Umer & Saeed Company and Peshawar Pipe. In the meantime Pesco recovery teams of Lala sub-division recovered about Rs 25,000 from defaulters.

In a power shutdown notice, Pesco said that due to some necessary maintenance and repair work, power supply from 132KV Peshawar Industrial Grid Station will remain suspended on Thursday (today) and on August 26 from 7 am to 1 pm, due to which the consumers of 11KV Landi Arbab-II, Gulberg and Peshtakhara feeders will face inconvenience.

Power supply will also remain suspended from 132KV Peshawar University Grid station on August 24 and August 26 from 7 am to 1 pm, resultantly the consumers of 11KV Agriculture, Cannal Town, Nasir Bagh, University Campus, Hayat Abad Old feeders will face inconvenience.

Meanwhile, power supply will also remain suspended from 132KV Mardan-II Grid station on August 23 and August 26 from 7 am to 1 pm.
